Graduate Teacher Program (GTP)
The Wessex Schools Training Partnership is committed to providing high quality teacher training in order to provide a source of high quality secondary school teachers for the local area (age range 11-18 years).
The WSTP offers an alternative to the traditional university based route for Inital Teacher Training in secondary schools. It offers salaried “on the job” training with a salary of £15461 (+ pensions contributions). The Training Programme lasts for one year. The next intake will commence training in April 2011

Achieve Qualified Teacher Status by taking our Graduate Teacher Program. Our program is based on teaching practice in the classroom. This is underpinned by a wealth of support from experienced professionals providing mentoring, seminars and subject specific skills.
Masters Level
Wessex Schools Training Partnership in partnership with Winchester University is now able to offer all trainees the possibilty to gain credits towards a Masters Level Qualification.
