About Us

The Wessex Schools Training Partnership is committed to providing high quality teacher training in order to provide a source of
high quality secondary teachers for the local area (age range 11-18 years).
The WSTP offers an alternative to the traditional university based route for Inital Teacher Training in secondary schools. It offers salaried “on the job” training with a salary of £15461 (+ pensions contributions). The Training Programme lasts for one year. The next intake will commence training in April 2011

Why Choose WSTP?
The WSTP was inspected by OFSTED and recommended for accreditation as a provider of initial teacher training in 2006. As an accredited I.T.T. provider it was inspected in 2009.
